Full description:

As the warmth & spontaneity of Summer concludes & flows into the cool nights & bright days of Autumn, we enter a more internal & reflective time.  This is the shift from the hot & busy Yang energy of Summer towards the more cool and calm Yin energy.  As Autumn arrives, it carries an invitation to slow down and surrender.
Honor this seasonal transition through Yin Yoga. Yin Yoga is a slow and still expression of yoga, in which poses are held for three to five minutes. In the meditative stillness of the pose, tight networks of fascia and connective tissue are released and healthy energetic circulation through the meridian system is restored.
Balancing both theory and practice, this Yin workshop is informed by the five-element theory of Traditional Chinese Medicine. In Autumn, we can focus on the energies of Earth & Metal and their associated energetic meridians through the hips and shoulders. Learn the basic principles of Yin and how these elements influence our bodies, minds & emotions. Then enjoy a Yin Yoga practice to experience its deep benefits.
This educational workshop will give you deeper insight into the wisdom of Yin and help you find balance in our always-changing world though stillness and inner-awareness.
