Embrace the practice of slowing down and moving into deep relaxation. During this workshop, participants will be guided through a series of asanas intended to reduce stress and release deep layers of tension throughout the body. The asanas practiced during this workshop will create space in the physical body, relieve stress in the mental body and promote inner peace and tranquility in the spiritual body.
This workshop will take students on an energetic journey beginning with a series of restorative asanas and moving into a breath centered mindful slow flow with hands on adjustments. Nerve gliding will also be infused into this practice. Nerve gliding gently stretches the nerves: keeping them mobile in the surrounding sheath and infusing them with ample blood supply. This gentle gliding movement is vital to both managing pain and supporting the general health of the nervous system. This practice will prepare students to move into stillness for a 10 minute crystal bowl sound bath Savasana. Please have blocks, strap, blankets and bolsters available for this class.
