Yoga's Role in the Spiritual Awakening of Society: Aiding a Mental Health Crisis

Sign up or log in to save this to your schedule, view media, leave feedback and see who's attending!

Consider yoga as a scaffold for self realization, especially helpful for those recovering from chronic suffering, psychosis and other transformative experiences.
Join Yoga Therapist Brooke West to discuss the current mental health crisis and Yoga's role in the spiritual awakening of society. Apply trauma-sensitive, sensory-enhanced yoga and the subtleties of Kriya Yoga meditation to find and share peace! We will have an open discussion about anxiety, depression, mixed moods; the effect of diagnosis symptoms and yoga on us and those around us; and we will direct the energy in practice for the greatest good of all. Restorative yoga and relaxation will be emphasized.

With a foundation in the teachings of Paramhansa Yogananda, Brooke works in collaboration with The International Bipolar Foundation as a teacher and peer in recovery, and for The American Center for the Integration of Spiritually Transformative Experiences (aciste.org) as a peer support group facilitator. Her online private practice reaches worldwide.

You only have your ego to lose. Yoga fills its place, for inner strength and hope for world peace. Join us!
